Lynwood Gardens

This award winning community of sprawling and historic apartments numbering 1798 garden-style apartments was built over a four-year period beginning in 1948. Situated on 122 acres in Cheltenham Township, the apartments are home to more than 4,000 residents. Purchased in 2002 by the national real estate company Laramar, which has its home office in Colorado, the complex has undergone a dramatic revitalization. So dramatic has been the effect of this renewal that in 2004 The Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce awarded the community with their prestigious Business of the Year Award.

In winning this award they were shown to be an outstanding example for other individuals, businesses and organizations to follow. The award also recognized Lynnewood Gardens for exhibiting an innovative approach to product and service while possessing an entrepreneurial spirit. The management of the Gardens are ex-officio members of the Cheltenham Township Development Task Force and they are regular contributors to functions and activities at the La Mott Community Center.
